郑州科技学院成人高等教育创办于2004年，2005年学校成立了专门的职能管理部门---郑州科技学院成教部。2009年4月，为适应我国高等教育改革发展的需要，学校在原成教部的基础上，成立了继续教育学院，目前设有党政办公室、学生科、教务科、教学资源科、招生科、培训科等部门，负责全校函授、职业技能培训鉴定、各类中短期培训等继续教育方面的办学与管理工作。
